I received an email today with details about the first stage of works that’s due to take place at the end of our street. The Chocolate Works development got planning permission way back in 2010 so it’s taken a long time to get to this point.

Here’s a benefit of our commuting in opposite directions, we ought to be well away from South Bank when any of the demolition or construction is taking place.

Personally I think the development could be good for this bit of York and it will be good to see the former Terry’s factory under development rather than just gently decaying.
